Ronan, a child in the Hyman Novack Medical Day Care accepted delivery of his “new” motorized chair thanks to David Heim, better known as the The Wheelchair Recycler. He collects donated chairs, scooters and durable medical equipment so they can be refurbished for other people in need. Often new pieces of equipment cost thousands of dollars and are not covered by insurance so his creativity and mechanical skills go a long way toward making mobility a possibility for all.
